Reminder:

Tonight (June 10th) is the last scheduled night for Aston AA Cheerleading sign-ups. They will be held at the Aston Community Center from 6pm - 8pm. If you plan on cheering for the competition squad this year, you must be registered for field cheerleading as well. If you are interested and have yet to sign-up, please do so tonight as you want to ensure your child gets fitted correctly for their uniform and it can be ordered in time.

If you have any questions, please contact Marianne at mperry7407@aol.com

If you have yet to sign up for cheerleading and your child is still interested for this season, you may still register by contacting Marianne at mperry7407@aol.com

You must contact her this week and make arrangements with her to get registered and fitted to ensure that your child has a uniform for the first game of the season. If you do not contact her this week, your child is not guarenteed to have a uniform in time for the first game. Please remember that in order to cheer for the competition team, you must participate in field cheerleading. There can be no exceptions, since this is a recreational cheerleading rule, not an Aston AA rule.

At least night's general membership meeting, it was announced that the numbers have almost doubled from last year. The organization and all of the coaches are very excited about this. Also, because we are a recreational organization, no child is cut and everyone makes the team. So if your child wants to cheer for an organization where everyone makes the team and has also won a National Championship three years in a row, please contact Marianne at mperry7407@aol.com this week so that your child does not miss out.

I have been asked by a couple of people over the past week so I am throwing it out there one last time, so please help pass the word if you know someone who has a child interested in cheerleading.

The answer is
YES, you can still sign up for cheerleading, but your child will not be guaranteed to have a uniform for the first game. This is because the outfits must be special ordered and sized directly for your child (it isn't like just getting a bunch of t-shirt for all of the kids). Your child must be signed up for field cheerleading in order to be eligible to participate in competition cheerleading. This is a recreational status rule for the sport of cheerleading, not an Aston AA rule.

If anyone has any further questions or if you need to get your child signed up, please do so ASAP by contacting Marianne Perry at mperry7407@aol.com

Thank you.
